Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Operation Spectre Rising
Operation Grand Heist is coming to an end in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, but Treachery has plenty of plans to replace it with a new season of content, events and updates. The second season, Operation Spectre Rising, begins on Xbox next week and will bring along a new Specialist, new weapons, new modes, and updates across all three areas of the game for all players, as well as new maps for Black Ops Pass holders
Included for free is the new Assassin specialist, who has smoke grenades and a “Shadow Blade” that allows for targeted melee kills. Blackout’s standard map has also been flooded by the Hydro Dam exploding, while the Zombies mode will get new weapons and challenges through the Operation Spectre Rising event. New Black Market cosmetics to unlock have also been added as part of the free update.
On the paid side of things, having the Black Ops pass will also give you access to three new Multiplayer maps: Masquerade, Artificer, and the remastered WMD returning from the original Black Ops. Finally, it will provide “instant access” to a new Blackout character named Uncle Frank, an older version of Black Ops 2’s Frank Woods.
The community has anticipated Spectre’s return for a long time, and that’s inspired us to build Operation Spectre Rising all around this shadowy, fan-favourite assassin and the wet works theme,” said Dan Bunting, Co-Studio Head, Trey-arch. “This new Operation delivers lots of new game modes and fun ways to play Black Ops 4, including some really cool changes to the Blackout map following Spectre’s dramatic introduction – players won’t want to miss this event!
